The Essentials
What it is.
A crown restores a damaged tooth with full ceramic coverage — protecting what remains while looking and functioning like the original. A bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring a crafted replacement to its neighbors.
Dr. Paulson spent eight years building crowns and bridges by hand in a dental laboratory before dental school. That experience shapes every restoration leaving this office — and for many crowns, Dr. Sitchon’s same-day dentistry means the ceramic is designed, milled and placed in a single visit.

Is This You?
Sound familiar?
- A cracked tooth, or one with a large failing filling
- A tooth weakened by a root canal
- A missing tooth between two healthy ones
- An old crown with a dark line at the gum
The Process
What to expect.
- Preparation & scan
The tooth is shaped and digitally scanned — no impression trays needed for most cases.
- Crafted or milled
Same-day ceramic crowns are milled in-office with Dr. Sitchon; complex cases go to the master lab Dr. Paulson has trusted since his technician days.
- Fit & finish
Bite, contact, and color are refined until it disappears among your natural teeth.

Questions, answered.
Can it really be done in one day?
Often, yes — CEREC lets us design, mill, and bond a ceramic crown in a single appointment. Same-day cases are Dr. Sitchon’s specialty.
How long do crowns and bridges last?
Ten to fifteen years is typical; well-crafted, well-cared-for restorations often outlast that considerably.
Will it look natural?
That’s the point of doing it the craftsman’s way — shade, shape, and translucency built for your smile, not a stock tooth.
