The Essentials
What it is.
Dental emergencies are frightening, painful, and never on schedule. Call the office first — (248) 553-9393 — and we’ll guide you through immediate first aid and hold same-day time when it’s needed.
Speed matters most with a knocked-out permanent tooth: kept moist (in milk, or gently back in its socket) and re-implanted within the hour, many can be saved.

Should I go to the ER instead?
For facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, or swelling that affects breathing or swallowing — yes, ER first. For tooth pain and damage, the dentist can usually do far more.
What do I do with a knocked-out tooth?
Handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently, keep it moist in milk or the socket, and get here within the hour.
What if it happens after hours?
Call the office line — the recording includes instructions for reaching help after hours.
